This is because distance learning colleges and universities are 100% independent study, so it is impossible to work with study groups or other students like many do at local colleges or universities. When you choose to attend distance learning colleges and universities over the more traditional schools, you need to be certain that independent study is right for you. If you have always been a good self starter and have an aptitude for being able to work on your own, unsupervised, distance learning colleges and universities could well be the right choice for you.
