Google is continuing to clean house with blog networks getting deindexed. Today, Build My Rank got de-indexed by Google, effectively shutting their doors immediately with a post stating that it had been a good run.

With so many SEO companies relying on these types of networks to obtain rankings for their clients, you have to wonder how large of an impact this is going to have. If your whole SEO campaign was based on one of these blog networks or links from one of these blog networks, chances are your sites are going to have trouble maintaining their rankings.

So what is a site owner to do? Well, listen to what Google has to say about what they want. Here is an interview that includes Matt Cutts. It is fairly long, but you can hear him start to address this issue within the first ten minutes:

http://schedule.sxsw.com/2012/events/event_IAP11742

From this it sounds like Google is not done. Perhaps these initial blog network de-indexings are the first salvo against the type of promotion they frown upon. There are many other types of tools being used that Google frowns upon. Paid links, reciprocal links, link farms…. Then you can move into the automated tools which include Xrumer, SENuke and others.

For those forward thinkers, this can be an opportunity to seize upon rankings that have long been unobtainable. By following Google’s advice, if you build a very usable site with the best content for your topic on the web, you should rank at the top of the search engines. In the real world, this is not the case, but by keeping your content fresh and updated, you can certainly meet the demands that Google places on you as a website. This is a good first step, and perhaps one way to avoid getting Google slapped!

If you want to maximize all of the benefits available from getting your business introduced in the Portuguese market, finding the best Portuguese language translation service provider should be the first (and most important) step you take.

The quality of a Portuguese translation service can sometimes spell the difference between excellence and mediocrity, so always be certain about the qualifications and expectations that you want a translation company to meet when accepting applications for the job. Getting yourself acquainted with the perks and benefits of translation services should give you a more in-depth understanding of what to require from those you’ll be hiring for the position or from which you will be obtaining the service from. This should also familiarize you with the qualities of a good Portuguese language translation company or provider as well as other factors you should look for.

Years of experience and credentials are a big influence in determining and narrowing down the most preferable choices for your business. Companies who have already established and made a name for themselves in the field of translating languages are bound to give you better service because they already have mastered and engineered their system in an organized manner. You don’t have to worry about any setbacks because there is the assurance that their translators are of excellent quality as they have been translating professionally for so long and will typically have a track record and references.

Versatility is also a key point to consider. Some language translation service companies can be very limited when it comes to number of languages being offered. A majority of these providers only specializes with a particular language and therefore could only accept those types of jobs. Although you may only need a Portuguese translator currently, it is always more ideal to find services from those who could offer a variety of diverse choices for you in case your business should need to expand into other countries in the future. Additionally, a lot of the time these companies or translators could give you better deals compared to those only specializing in one specific language.

Just like with most things, financial factors also play a huge impact in consideration as well as in the final decision. A costly or expensive translation service does not necessarily mean excellent output, but a cut rate service often will deliver cut rate results. If you have a great bulk or volume of work that is needed to be translated, however, sometimes it will give you something with which to bargain with translation companies, and it could give you better price options. If not, then you could always find another company which could do the work for you in a lesser cost. Quality service need not always be expensive, but this is a case where you often get what you pay for.

Finally, keep in mind that in every transaction you engage a translation company in, a long-term partnership should always be your goal. Always consider the likeability of a translation company to deal and cope with your demands to see if it’s worth investing the success of your business with them or not.

In large urbanized cities like Los Angeles, arming yourself with martial arts techniques is simply common sense. Think of it as an untold requirement for survival. Informally pinned as the Gang Capital of Nation, it is not surprising that many people aren’t taking any risk of assault by enrolling themselves in Krav Maga – Los Angeles.

This Israeli hand-to-hand combat technique was designed by Imre Lichtenfeld in the 1930’s with the intention of protecting Jews from the Nazi army. The same person brought the fighting system to American soil and since then it has been gaining incredible popularity across the country. In Los Angeles alone, 3,000 people are enrolled in Krav Maga classes and most of them aren’t necessarily Jewish. But Jewish or not, the art of Krav Maga has done one thing right: it has empowered its students.

The mixture of calculated jabs and kicks gives students a sense of confidence to take on the world. Applying the skills in true-to-life situational exercises enhances students’ awareness of the environment and develops quick reflexes to give an immediate and appropriate response to any attack. Krav Maga is not just about throwing hit after hit, it’s about throwing hits that do vital damage. The groin is a favorite target area as featured in an episode of the Simpsons where a girl constantly aimed for Bart’s groin inflicting undeniable pain. Good instinct plays a make-or-break role in Krav Maga. You are trained to think clearly and quickly to device the most efficient strategy for a specific scenario.

Krav Maga (Los Angeles) classes are most always full. Out of about 180 training centers in America the largest one, Krav Maga National Training Center, is located in Los Angeles and caters to approximately 2,000 students. Training sessions begin with a series of drills including jogging and sparring.

In sunny Los Angeles getting in shape is pre-programmed in everybody’s schedules. Not only does Krav Maga teach you how to defend yourself against sudden attackers, but it also helps you tone those muscles. It is an excellent cardiovascular workout, and instructors assign you an appropriate regimen based on your level of adeptness. The techniques are very easy to follow and in a few months time you’ll find yourself expertly dodging attacks and producing sidesplitting strikes to challengers.

To both Jewish and non-Jewish people in Los Angeles Krav Maga has been a way of appreciating Israeli culture. After all, Krav Maga was never meant to endorse violence. Some even prefer to concentrate on escaping rather than retaliating.

Krav Maga – Los Angeles has gained followers in the state and others such as New York and Texas. Check out this highly rated Houston Krav Magna studio if you are in the area. Be it in staying in shape or staying safe, Krav Maga will always find ways to suit your needs.

Unlike most martial arts practices, Krav Maga does not prescribe a standardized uniform. Different gyms clad their students in different designs but they all have one thing in common—belts. Krav Maga belts signify each level of its unique ranking system.

As with all martial arts, newbies begin with white Krav Maga belts. White belters are enrolled in boot camp training where they develop their endurance and build up on strength and speed to cope with the more rigorous techniques in higher rankings. Through their yellow belt days, they will be taught easier techniques such as straight punches, roundhouse kicks and etc.

More difficult moves are introduced in orange belts. At this level you are already acquainted with most of the punches, kicks, stances and several of the blocking and ground fighting techniques. Green follows and marks the beginning of intermediate training. Head strikes are first taught at this level.

Advanced training sets off with the blue belt. Everything from this point on will be the hardest of your Krav Maga training process. At this point, you’ve immensely improved your strength and heightened your senses and ability to respond to stimuli. Tackles and takedowns are taught at this level. More complicated ground fighting techniques such as guillotine are also introduced. Brown belt comes afterwards.

Black belt is the highest level of attainment for all Krav Maga practitioners. From here on, whoever practices it can train further to get their certifications to become Krav Maga instructors. It can take years to reach this level, but sure enough when you’ve come this far you’ll be one of the most feared fighters. Because of the intensity of the training and the responsibility that comes along with such power, promotions to black belts are most of the time reserved for instructors, police and military officers.

To go up one belt higher, the easiest tip would be to practice hard. Play up different techniques, experiment which matches and see how they fare in real life situations. It also helps to pick a great sparring partner so that every practice will pose a challenge for you to become better. Proper diet and exercise also plays an important part. You will have to build up your strength and speed; otherwise you won’t be cut out for the more complex movements.

Every Krav Maga belt is a trophy to anyone who bears it. It defines who they are as fighters and defenders. It is a marker of their courage. Continue to be the best Krav Maga practitioner and watch yourself go all the way up.

Thinking of signing up for VoIP service? With voice over internet protocol currently being the most used communication service worldwide, it isn’t surprising that the business and private sector have signed up for VoIP. For the same reason, various communication companies have also started their own VoIP service one of them being Smart.

Smart’s VoIP Plans

Smart VoIP services cover international and countrywide calls. They charge through a per-minute basis which could be as low as .5 cents every 60 seconds. At this low a price, a lot of people are definitely signing up for the Smart Voice over Internet Protocol Service. For this type of service, subscribers only need to download a certain type of software and can instantly utilize the VoIP service of smart using PC hardware. Since the charges are done through a per-minute basis, users of the service would need to purchase credits online before calling someone.

Smart also has a phone to phone service that allows individuals to make calls through regular phone lines while maintaining the same cheap price. Like regular calls, individuals would simply have to type the phone and destination number of the person they are calling and immediately be connected. Payment for transactions like this are usually settled via Smart’s VoIP account. Being a well-known mobile network provider, Smart also supports Nokia phones with the LowCaller feature that is still part of their VoIP package.

Is Smart VoIP the Best in the Market?

With its many features, Smart VoIP is definitely a contender in the VoIP industry – but not the best. For example, their per-minute charging system can be easily topped by a device that offers unlimited calls worldwide. There are currently VoIP providers today that feature a USB phone which can be connected to any PC with an internet connection. Using this hardware, a caller can contact anyone at any place – regardless of where he or she is situated at that time. USB phones may also be used during flight – making it ideal for travelers or businessmen who frequently have to transfer from one plane to another.

Charges for this type of service are fixed at around $60.00 plus a one-time payment for the hardware which is made to be light and durable. Compared to Smart that necessitates purchase of credits online, this type of system is incredibly better and would show cheaper rates but better quality when computed all in all. Set-up fees are non-existent due to the ease of installation of the product.

When it comes right down to it, Smart VoIP is a possible choice but not the best. There are definitely more VoIP service providers that give better service not to mention better rates than Smart and it is important to check them all out before committing.

Suggestively, those who are looking for a VoIP service to sign up to should start reading reviews about companies as well as comparing rates and the features included in the said plans. This would allow them to arrive at a more accurate conclusion, ensuring the best possible service.

There are currently numerous VoIP services out in the market today – all of them providing smaller rates compared to regular phone lines. However, the quality of service for each VoIP provider usually differs, making it important to review choices before actually committing to one VoIP company.

Right now, VoIPBuster is pretty popular in the market, but how actually does it rate compared to others?

The service requires an internet speed of more than 64kbps. This is probably the biggest disadvantage of VoIPBuster – its strong reliance on the speed of the internet. Should the connection start to slow down so will the VoIP service, making it greatly inconvenient for users who need fast, clear and reliable calling ability. Hence, those who have dial-up connections will have to understand that service from this provider would not be satisfactory. The only upside of this system is that calling from one VoIP Buster user to another is available absolutely for free. Worldwide calls are also possible although the provider is not equipped with 911 services.

The VoIP Buster may be availed online through simple download of the software. It also comes with a username and password for security purposes. Unfortunately, this VoIP system is pretty low when it comes to features. Some of the most crucial characteristics ordinarily found in other systems are sadly lacking from Buster, making it a bad choice for businessmen who are entertaining clients. For example, basics like Voicemail, Call Waiting, Call Return and Caller ID are glaringly absent.

How does VoIPBuster compare with others?

Buster’s biggest advantage is the fact that it’s remarkably cheaper than other VoIP systems. Unfortunately, when it comes to the service side of things – this provider is at a disadvantage.

This is especially true if the intended user is a businessman or even a homeowner who has many contacts internationally or even countrywide. The VoIP service would prevent them from enjoying the full capabilities of VoIP, not to mention lose a few clients during the process.

For comparison sake, there are VoIP providers that offer unlimited international calling for a flat rate of around $60.00 per month. Compared to other plans – this is already incredibly cheap and compared to the VoIPBuster service – incredibly better. Although the calls are also dependent on the presence of an internet connection, it does not rely too much on the speed, making it possible to receive or make calls even with a limited service. As for nationwide calls, some VoIP services charge as low as $21.00 per month for unlimited calls within USA including Canada.

What’s the verdict?

All in all, the VoIP Buster is good but not good enough. Its low number of features not to mention high internet speed requirements makes it a bad choice even for homeowners. This goes double for companies and business owners especially since they need fast communication choices to be easily accessible to clients and subordinates.

For those who are thinking about getting VoIP service, then it might be best to settle for flat rate fees with excellent service rather than an unsure one. Make sure to read reviews and rates before committing.

With more and more individuals and businesses signing up for VoIP, it isn’t surprising that Google also jumped in the bandwagon with its own version: The Google Talk. At first glance, the Google VoIP looks like a simple and very easy to use system that allows individuals to communicate even with thousands of miles of land and sea between them. However, the fact that Google Talk is not a full-fledged VoIP system, the features are fairly limited.

So what exactly does Google’s VoIP have to offer and how does it compare to others?

First of all, Google is primarily used for PC to PC connections and PC to phone calls. The system functions once the necessary software is downloaded and installed in the system. In order for it to work, a functioning microphone and headset must be present on the user.

Even with their limited features, Google is currently being used by a wide range of companies for the fact that they charge a smaller rate for international calls – perhaps having the lowest there is. Like most, they charge users via a credit method which can be purchased online. Initially, users get complimentary credits to help them get started as well as quality of service of Google VoIP. After that, further credits may be bought.

In comparison, there are full-fledged VoIP providers that come up as a better alternative than Google’s credit-system phone calls. One of these includes unlimited calls worldwide by simply attaching a USB phone to an internet-connected laptop or desktop. With Google being ideal for individuals situated in a specific area, USB phones are ideal for those who love to travel or are dealing with international companies.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Google is the best when it comes to countrywide calls since there are still services which can offer better – unlimited calls within USA while paying a fixed rate per month. This type of VoIP service is actually preferred by companies since it stabilizes their expense per month and allows them to create a budget that could span years.

Additionally, some of the most basic and important VoIP features offered by competitors are absent from Google VoIP. These include Call Return, 911 Service, Keep your Number, PC to Phone Calling, Virtual Phone Numbers, Caller ID and Call Waiting.

Google’s VoIP Service: What’s the verdict?

All in all, Google provides affordable prices but not enough service. With the number of competitors showing up in the market, it’s easy to bypass Google’s price advantage for the high quality of service provided by others. Hence, those who are thinking about signing up for this VoIP might well be disappointed by the outcome especially with even the most basic features like Call Return may not be availed through this service.

For businessmen, big companies or even homeowners – Google is ideal for basic calls but not equipped for the heavy ones. Instead, read on reviews about other VoIP providers in the market and simply choose one from them. Look for the availability of features as well as unlimited calling – preferably nationwide and international – to make the best out of the service.

Voice Over Internet Protocol (most commonly known as VOIP), is a type of communication channel that uses IP (internet protocol) instead of the usual telephone lines for transmitting voice signals. This type of technology relies heavily on internet connection to transmit data and voice signals; hence an internet connection is required to use this type of service. It’s also called soft phone or internet phone.

Some people may find this kind of service too technical as the usual home phone set up is not applicable. Prior to getting the VOIP service set up, internet connection needs to be organized first. A user may opt to use a soft phone (which can be downloaded online), or to connect a physical handset to their computer.

The Voice Over Internet Protocol uses the internet’s packet data switching technology to transmit voice signals and provide a phone service. A lot of chat rooms actually use VOIP as their form of voice transmission.

Most internet savvy users prefer to use this kind of technology as it doesn’t cost as much as a traditional landline service. A person can call outside of the country for free, no matter how long they talk. Line clarity is not an issue so long as their internet connection is good. Availability and price are the primary reasons why consumers switch to using this type of service. Those who travel a lot for business or even for leisure can have the capacity of taking their “home phone” or “business phone” with them wherever they go.

Consumers might not be aware of it, but they are using Voice Over Internet Protocol everytime they make a call using their web messengers. This is one proof that the technology does have something to brag about.

Most VOIP providers provide value added features to their VOIP subscription plans. Most features that are offered are those that are also available with traditional home phones, such as: call waiting, call forwarding, three-way calling, call transfer and even voicemail. Some VOIP service providers let users give a caller an automatic busy signal, send a particular call directly to voicemail, play a “not yet in service message”, or automatically forward a call to a different number.

Compared to a mobile phone, VOIP has a greater advantage. Just like the traditional home phone, mobile phone calls can be twice (or even thrice) as expensive and mobile signals are not very consistent in all areas.

On the other hand, traditional homephones do not rely heavily on electricity; hence, VOIP needs electricity or power since it is connected to a modem or a router.

Most businesses these days resort to using Voice Over Internet Protocol due to quality and bandwidth proficiency. Companies can save a lot with VOIP by routing thousands of calls via a circuit switch and into an IP gateway. It also allows multinational companies to go on conference meetings with partners around the globe through video conferencing without having to pay for a fortune. The low cost of VOIP lets them allocate their resources for other corporate needs.

More and more people are getting intrigued by VOIP. But some are still reluctant on using it since it may appear “too technical” for those who are not very internet savvy. But what is VOIP? VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol. In this scenario, voice signals are transmitted through the internet instead of the usual landline cables. Households and businesses alike can profit from this new technology – if only people set aside their fears and explore what is VOIP themselves.

Businesses, and even countries, are concerned as to how secure transmission is over VOIP. Because of this, countries have set laws regarding selling and use of VOIP services. In the United States, the government and its people are allowed to use VOIP legally, whether for personal or business use; Australians are also enjoying VOIP services, as most telecommunication providers offer it; In Ethiopia, where its government monopolizes the telecoms industry, selling and using VOIP service is banned and is punishable by law.

What is VOIP? VOIP can be used like a regular telephone. The only difference is the form of transmission that it uses. There is still a dial tone, just like a traditional home phone, and users can dial the phone number that they wish to call, most subscribers find it really user friendly. They can also make phone calls and surf the internet at the same time without any disruption on either service.

Those who are currently using VOIP can attest to the reliability of the service. Call centers worldwide use VOIP technology to make outbound calls and receive incoming calls. The systems’ efficiency relies heavily on the quality of the internet connection. Poor internet connection and speed can result to choppy lines and even dropped calls; hence, those with stable broadband connection, like hi-speed DSL and cable internet, can expect a good VOIP service as well.

Due to the massive popularity of VOIP, its security is often questioned. New technologies are often prone to attacks. VOIP users need to make sure that they are also aware on how to keep their VOIP service secure, especially to those who are suing it to transmit sensitive or confidential data. Users are encouraged to use gateway, anti spyware, and antivirus provided by their host to protect their VOIP servers; they should also work out on applying strong authentication and access controls on their system, especially if its connected to a Local Area Network (LAN); VOIP service providers also offer security protocols as well as part of the package, and subscribers must enable these to make sure they are fully covered.

Like any other new technology, VOIP hasn’t been perfected yet. There are still services that may be incompatible with it, such as hooking it up to a fax machine. Nevertheless, engineers are formulating ways on how they can improve the system and make it the ultimate means when it comes to communication. Given the pace at which new programs and systems are being developed, it won’t be long until the VOIP system will be perfected.

At this time, users can definitely enjoy the reliability and the competitive cost that VOIP offers.

When looking at immigration reform, you have a lot of opinions to consider. It is a hot topic these days, as well it should. Our country was built in immigrants, so immigration reform is a very important topic that we should all consider strongly.

Due to the hot topic that immigration reform is, and the many varied opinions on immigration reform and the immigration debate, there is a lot of material circulating via email these days. Some is rubbish, but recently I recieved a well thought out, well presented view on the immigration debate that ties into the talks on immigration reform. I’ve put together the information and some pictures, as it addresses issues that should be examined, and offers a point of view in the immigration debate that is well worth looking at.

This is not my complete view, and I by no means want to put all immigrants in the same pot as some bad apples. It’s a shame that all the hard working individuals that work hard, live legally and are an attribute to this country get lumped together with the few that don’t. This is simply an editorial type of post that I found to drum up some interesting ideas, and I hope you enjoy:

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people why today’s American is not willing to accept a new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States , people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.

Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved goodbye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France , no one in those villages were looking for the French American, the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I’m sorry, that’s not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900′s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn’t start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit. Nelson Henderson
